The clock is now standing at one minute to midnight for the great apes. Some experts estimate that in as little as five to 10 years orangutans and Mountain gorillas could be extinct across most of their range. A number of countries in West Africa have already lost their wild populations of chimpanzees.

GRASP needs to raise funds from a wide range of sources in order to generate a radical increase in efforts to protect great apes and their habitats, and save these remarkable species and the forest habitat they inhabit. Please donate generously!
