EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee

The GRASP Executive Committee represents each of the partnership categories of GRASP and is tasked with guiding the day-to-day work of the GRASP Secretariat to ensure effective implementation of GRASP strategies.

The GRASP Executive Committee includes:

1. Range States (4)
  • East Africa (Uganda), West Africa (Senegal), Central Africa (Congo), Southeast Asia (Indonesia)
2. Non-range States (2)
  • France, Sweden
3. UN Environment Programme (UNEP) (1)

4. UN Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (1)

5. Multilateral environmental agreements (2)
  • CITES, CMS

6. Conservation organizations (2)
  • Orangutan Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society

The GRASP Scientific Commission also sits on the GRASP Executive Committee as a non-voting member.

Executive Committee Meetings

The GRASP Executive Committee meets on a quarterly basis each year -- including one face-to-face meeting -- and members serve 4-year terms.
