The Council is the governing body of GRASP. It convenes every four years and consists of all partners in categories (a) – (f), each holding an equal vote. The Council sets the overall programme of work for GRASP, and monitors and guides the partnership periodically. Importantly, the Council assesses the relevance of GRASP’s work areas against the current and emerging priorities in the great ape conservation and revises them accordingly, considering the collective value and position of the partnership.
